I just changed my area. I am now in Cardenas Tabasco. When I move to a differnt area, they change my p day so thats why I am writing today. So I am a trainer now with my first kid; it is fun.
Wow, the mission is something that I am so grateful to be in. I am learning so much about what the lord wants and how important it is. This last transfer, I was in Villahermosa Tabasco. I left Gaviotsas Sur with a smile knowing that everything went well; we baptized and had lots of success. I try and think of the many things that I could share; a story that's cool but, only one thing comes to mind and that is of the power and authority that missionaries have. In the ward that I was in for 3 tranfers... we worked so hard to regain the confidence of the members having been lost, and of course us re-opening the area, so they didn't remember what it was like to have the missionaries there. The ward had about 75 people and now as I have left, we had some 110people.... a lot more than the number before. I talked a few times in church only trying to pour my heart out and so that the ward could be of help in the missionary work. My last talk, I decided to try a few things. I prepared my talk all week and found the story of lehi and his vision and related it to our personal conversions. I then explained how we obviously can't be baptized again to feel that purity but we sure can truly repent and thats the only way you can... I bore testimony of it because I had been using the power of repentence that whole week. I also want to encourage and invite you to repent as we find in mosiah 4:11 that is daily repentence. In a sincere prayer, we find the willingness to step out of the darkness that we are all in, the sins we just dont want to give up because they are so easy, but in sincere prayer we feel the saviors love and just feeling that love we can change our heart and really ask and recieve forgivness of our sins. I know this is true, I know it because I have felt it. I see the blessings from it and I promise that you can too. To make the story shorter many of the families did just that in my ward and our ward made a dramatic change for the better... i love the work and enjoy every moment in it. There really can't be anything better. take care and i wish you the best to whoever reads this... bye elder schall
