hello family i sure hope you are all having just the best time in the july times with the fire works and evrything. i am getting sick here of rain every day, havent missed a day for about 2 or three weeks so its always fun.
this last week on friday i had the opportunity to be in the giant youth conference they have here every year where the combine the states of chiapas and tabasco with there youth and have a 5 day conference, if any of you remember i was helping out with last years because i was the companion of a district leader this year i am the district leader haha. so i taught 45 to 50 youth at a time, there were 20 groups,i taught 10 of the groups, and taught each group for 25 minutes about how to study effeciently. that was a great expirience, i was able to see many of my converts that i baptized in tuxtla and here in tabasco, i never felt so happy in my entire life. i could not contain myself from smiling. for example i was talking to guadalupe who i actually missed baptizing by one week was super excited to tell me that her mom and her dad had gotten baptized.(i baptized her brother sergio) and that her little brother told her to tell me that he is waiting for to come back and baptize him.. he´s 7 years old. this family even though i wasnt able to baptize all of them, due to addictions to coffee, this family was one that made my testimony grow... like the son sergio that i was able to baptize(19 years old) when he was 5 years old saw the missionaries pass by in town.. looked at his catholic mom and asked who they were. "mormons" she said. he looked back up at her and said mom, i want to be like them, so when they come to our house i am going to join their church. 14 years later for the first time elder schall and a youth on divisions with me, knocked on the door, sergio wasnt there the first time but the dad told us to come back in 2 days because his son wanted to talk to us. when we got there the next time the whole family was there. we taught the first lesson and they all accepted the comitments to pray to know if it was true.. we came back a few days later and had another great expirience, the mom had dreames about me. she told us that she had dream that she was running up a mountain and was trying to get to the top when she all of a sudden didnt know where to go, i showed up and told her that she could do it, and a was contantly behind her with a voice telling her she could do it. when she got to the top she of the mountain she felt an overwhelming peace and was there with her awaiting family,,, i remember when she asked us if we could tell her what this meant kind of laughing... that day we invited to baptism her and her family... after all and all she finally was baptized 2 months ago and was the last one in the family and now is super happy. i guess that explains her dream. i was super happy to see literally the fruits of my laboring. it was an overwhelming joyand filled me with peacein what i do everyday.. that is my story for the week i love oyu all so so much. be safe, go fishing for me. love elder schall
