(2/2010) WoW! The mission is something I am so greatful to be in. I am learning so much about what the Lord wants and how important it is. This last transfer, I was in Villahermosa Tobasco. I left Gaviotsas Sur with a smile knowing that everything went well. We baptized and had lots of success. I try and think of the many things that I could share, a story thats cool, but one thing comes to mind is of the power and authority that missionaries have. In the ward that I was in for 3 transfers we worked so hard to regain the confidence of the members having been lost, and of course us re-opening the area, so they didnt remember what it what was like to have missionaries there. Little to say, the ward every week was about 75 people and now as I have left we had some 110 people....a lot more than the number before. I talk a few times in church, only trying to pour my heart out and so that the ward could be of help in missionary work. I decided, with my last talk, to try a few things. I prepared my talk all week and found the story of Lehi and his vision and related it to our personal conversions. I then explained how we obviously cant be baptized again to feel that purity but we can repent. Many families in the ward did just that, and our ward has made a dramatic difference. I love the work and enjoy every moment of it. There really can't be anything better. Take Care ~Elder Schall
